How to estimate the optimal viewing distance and display for a transparent LED display

To optimize view experience, it is important to consider the optimal viewing distance of your transparent LED display. To estimate the optimal viewing distance, all you need to know is an LED display’s pixel pitch— the distance from the center of one LED to the center of the next. —and this simple calculation:

pixel pitch (mm) /(0.3~0.8) = Optimal viewing distance (mm)

Examples of optimal viewing distances:

Optimal viewing range

ClearLED Poster

3 x 6 mm

3.8  ~ 10.0 m

ClearLED Wall W3

3.13 x 6.25 mm

3.9  ~ 10.4 m

ClearLED Wall W10

10.4 x 10.4 mm

13.0 ~ 34.7 m

ClearLED Wall W25

25 x 25 mm

31.3 ~ 80.0 m

How to estimate optimal display size for a transparent LED screen

Custom ClearLED transparent displays can be configured into virtually any size and shape. But how do you estimate the optimal size of your display within your space? As with viewing distances, estimating optimal display size is largely based on pixel pitch. Essentially, larger pixel pitches equal larger recommended display sizes, and vice versa.
